Let me just say that I am a huge supporter of anything being done professionally in our industry in the Midwest. Exxxtacy 2010 impressed me very much, it was a great first year event and I look forward to supporting it in the future.
The event is more of a true fan based event than many of the others competing with it. It has the beginnings of being a great platform for talent. The typical formula of allowing companies like us to hire talent to bring fans to our booth at a show is great for companies but sort of limits the talent. Exxxtacy put the talent at the center of it all and allowed them to gamble on their own fan base and cash in.

Several of the performers I spoke with said they were doing great selling autographed pics, and taking photos with fans. Most I spoke with were making close to the same amount, if not more than they make for being hired to work a booth at a show like AEE/AVN.
A partial list of the talent I saw or spoke with at their own booths were, Alexis Texas, Lexi Belle, Lupe Fuentes, Asa Akira, Sunny Lane, Sara Jay, Angelina Armani, and Sunny Leone.
With personal websites, feature dancing, personal products, being an essential part of a performers earnings potential, shows that allow them to build their own fan base, and monetize that fan base directly, will become an important part of their appearance schedule.
It is no mystery that our industry is facing a lot of challenges to its existing business model and I personallly have felt encouraging talent to become more in control of their fan base and promotion is a step in the right direction. Talent that sees potential in working to build their own brand and control their long term revenue will benefit from shows like Exxxtacy. Studios like VMG will benefit from a fan base that craves talent they feel they can support directly and meet in person.

Great review and insight to the industry today. I’ve really felt that change with Brooke. She has kept her fans both interested in her day to day growth and feelings bout the industry.
And to her credit is why i like to follow the latest talent coming from your studio.
A girl in control of her income and fan base is a WIN WIN. Tara Lynn Foxx has some trading cards for a mere 10 dollars so yea i sent 4 one. GREAT IDEA i think.
As a fan I appreciate the girls who stay in touch with there fans. Personality is equally as sexy as there talent.
Lastly I hope Brooke takes advantage of all the income potential. I know she is limited by computer experience but her name alone BROOKE VAN BUUREN is genuinely creative and original.
I would buy a pic a clip anything to show my support for her.

I was an exhibitor AND a fan at the Exxxtacy show! What a great time…Everyone had a blast.
For a first year show, it was incredible. I look forward to next years show. In the meantime, Chicago also throws “The biggest one night party in Chicago” once a year @ Excalibur/Vision…The Chicago Sexcon.
Tons of the same stuff and porn stars however, it is a PARTY! 60,000 square feet of night club fun with over 100 vendors and dozens of your favorite porn stars.
